hello, my darlings! sorry i’ve been somewhat absent this week. i’m still getting into the swing of the new semester which is proving to be quite busy already. plus, my mother is having some cancer-related tests done today, which weighs on my mind for a while beforehand, so to be honest it hasn’t been the most awesome of weeks. as of last night (which featured a much-needed night of theatre, cocktails, and funny friends), things are starting to look up though, so i’ll definitely be making time to catch up on blogs this weekend.

i am a purse person. since i was a small girl, i’ve loved + collected purses, and continued to do so through childhood, adolescence, and into adulthood. one of the very first styles i fell in love with was the clutch. as someone raised on the thin man movies and soap operas, i loved the idea of dressing up, and the clutch is indelibly classy. my first clutch was a secondhand black + beaded number with a gold clasp. i still carry it to this day + it’s because of that little purse that i’m especially fond of ila handbags. the textures, the colors, the patterns; i’m smitten! i also love how they are each a modern twist on such a classic style. beautiful!

i adore the way each of these pieces have their own texture + aura, but are still obviously made by the same crafty person. i really dig the mixture of both bold and quiet colors + design simplicity, not to mention the fact that they’re gorgeous!
