midweek felicity: as if I were insane

i’ve been a bit overwhelmed so far this week

two exams, a research paper, taking care of a sick mom, laundry, more class assignments, errands, obligations, and a hundred other little things. we’ve reached the bottom of the summer’s belly and all i want to do is drive straight to the ocean and take the long way back, drink tuscan lemonade on a balcony while catching up with friends, put my alarm clock in the trash can, listen to old fiona apple early in the morning…

so to compensate i am concentrating on the good things that have come into + happened in my life this week, in the form of…

midweek felicity: christening the ice

it’s official…

i’m done with summer.

the awful humidity. the lack of hockey. my general lugubriousness. yeah, there’s the simplicity of flip.flops, the deliciousness of fresh fruit, and the whimsy of fireflies, but i’ve had my fill. i’m a bit tired of wretched allergies, and ready for apple spice lattes. i’d totally be okay with trading in sunblock for sweaters. my summer course has been eating up my time + draining any available brain space, so needless to say i’m ready for both autumn and a good dose of midweek felicity, in the form of…
