my name is Alison .
{that’s me}
i’m a twenty-something college student from akron, ohio. i’m a writer, photographer, poet, and pittsburgh penguins mega fan. i drink a lot of tea + coffee. i have three cats + a netflix addiction. i love to travel, to learn, and to act semi-ridiculous with my friends.
and flowers pick themselves is the place where i pin down all the things i love in life: photography, hockey, music, fashion, design, nature. it’s a filing cabinet of joyfulness + creativity. it’s about glorifying small, everyday moments. it’s inspired by an e. e. cummings poem + supported by unbelievably wonderful, clever readers. it’s constantly evolving, but grounded in the things that move + interest me, things like irish music, peppermint bark, old movies, and silliness.

I find I have a lot in common with you! I too love hockey, poetry, earl grey tea, clementines, laughing, scruffy men, Irish boys (although, I prefer Scottish boys :), and birdcages. I also thank you for your nice comments on my blog. I’m glad I found your blog in the vast sea of the inter-web! lol.
