This post is just so lovely. Diary of an Edwardian Lady was one of my favorite books in high school and I still refer to it from time to time. And I love your photo of the Mary statue. Finally I have to get {make?} some of those jars!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

“heading to a land of sunshine” beautiful! and yes, i am so with you on coming together to help japan.
there’s just so much devastation, it’s hard to believe it..
The whole thing with Japan is sad and frightening. I hope they find more people safe and that it doesn’t get worse from here. Thanks for bringing this to light, hopefully more people help
i concur :(
funny thing that i’m in a land of sunshine… have a great weekend!
lucky you! xo
love, love Noah and the Whale! i don’t know how many sunny days i’ve spent listening to “5 years time”–so cheery!
i listened to 5 years time EVERY DAY the summer before last. SO good!
i love that fortune! was it yours? keep it. frame it. what an amazing reminder.
yep! it’s on my desk right now :)
It’s really so very sad…a few hours ago I was watching some video that actually made my stomach hurt. Huh…but besides all that your pictures are lovely as always and I hope you’re enjoying your weekend so far! Not sure if you were on your break when I did this, but I changed my blog name from Inspired Shares to White Tapestry. I wanted to let you know so you didn’t think I deserted you! I’m guessing you figured it out, but just wanted to make sure:) Sorry for the ramble!
Julie xo
yep, yep! i already changed my blogroll :) and you’re always welcome to ramble here!
I LOVE that shot of the fortune cookie. In a hang-it-on-my-wall-above-my-bed kind of way.
THANKS! xoxoxoxo
Very beautiful photos you did take indeed! Lovely.
thank you! :)
I’m so happy to be seeing your photography back =) I wish I was better at taking pics of the little details throughout a day or week!
Thanks for your input on the balance post :)
thank you + you’re welcome!
Very lovely photos, I really adore these weekly summaries.
I have been saying ever since the JapanesEarthquake happened ‘oh, I must donate’ and then never quite got round to it. You have prompted me to actually get on and do it, so thank you! Enough putting it off!
you’re welcome + THANK YOU!!
LUVS all of these sweet images… I will never tire of cute kitties and scrumptious treats :)
So tragic about Japan. Earthquake, tsunami and a volcano… I can’t imagine how they will be able to cope and fully recover in our lifetime. Devastating.
thanks, diana :)
I want to head to a land of sunshine. Yes.
My heart goes out to everyone affected. So much hard.
I hope you had a wonderful weekend!
can i go with you? i could use some sunshine :)
Love the pic of the note in your fortune cookie! Usually they are so cheesy but I l like this one! Especially in the wake of what’s happening in Japan right now.
thanks! i agree, most of the time they’re pretty corny, but i really loved that one.
so nice to see your wrap up posts – love seeing your images! can you believe the snow we got? glad to see the sun out today :)
me too! hopefully that’s the last snow storm this winter…
I love that shot of Steinbeck’s books.
The Japan tragedy is ongoing, and it really does bear some thinking about life and what is important. My heart goes out to all of them.
thanks :) i so agree!
Are those mason jars with intricate designs on them? Looooove ‘em.
